Our acres of space and unrestricted grounds are available for your exclusive use for your entire wedding day. Connected to the spacious (and often sun-drenched) terrace, here you can feast, dance, drink, and celebrate outside all day long.
Our outdoor gardens and grounds are perfect for alfresco dance parties, golden hour cocktails over lawn games, stolen moments to enjoy just the two of you, and limitless opportunities to capture beautiful photos with your wedding photographer! No need to go off-site. This spacious, all-in-one multi-event space, is yours to enjoy and make your own.
Drinks on the terrace
The sun-drenched terrace is a central social setting that invites you to spend the majority of your day outside. With a layout that keeps your guests connected to the atmosphere, it’s the scene for guests to mingle upon arrival and is often the location for pre-and-post wedding ceremony drinks. By nightfall, the terrace is the preferred spot for intimate evenings by the glow of the firepits.
Music plays throughout the area, with additional space for live music and entertainment, with bar stools and outdoor lounge furniture providing ample seating. On the terrace, you can take advantage of the weather, whilst easily accessing the bar and main bar area via bi-fold doors which open and push out onto the terrace for a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.
Enjoy custom cocktails served on the terrace, canapés and light refreshments during your wedding reception, ice-cream carts and tailored wedding food provided by our catering team, and a bottle bar via the outdoor bar area.
Lawn games
The manicured gardens and lawn areas to the front of the terrace and to both sides of the venue lend themselves perfectly to lawn games and social activities for your adult (and children guests alike).
Giant Jenga, croquet, and adult-sized retro space hoppers are always firm favourites to enjoy during the afternoon wedding celebrations. Whilst cocktail sessions, candid photographs, ice cream vans and photobooths, tipi tents, and outdoor fun with your pooches prove strong contenders for this space too.
A truly photogenic wedding venue
Tower Hill Barns is a fitting barn wedding venue for couples who love the outdoors and want a classic countryside scene for their wedding photos. For fun photo sessions with your wedding photographer, make the most of our beautiful lawned areas, picturesque views from the top of the Bridge, the wildflower meadow to the front of the terrace, and explore beyond the quintessential farm gates which connect you to sprawling rural fields.
Rain, hail, or shine, the perfect photo opportunity is never far away. You’ll find an abundance of locations for both candid and formal group shots, quiet retreats for couples who seek a moment alone, scenes for epic smoke-bomb photography and other fun group shots, and the opportunity for stunning drone wedding photography and video footage. For the adventurous, the Pontcysyllte aqueduct and the Llangollen Panorama are both easily accessed for couples who want one-of-a-kind wedding photos and World Heritage site backdrops.
An alfresco evening reception
Sundown on the terrace offers magical scenes and the chance to revel in the countryside ambience, take in the starry night sky, and relax around the glowing fire pits. Cosy outdoor seating and bar stools fill the area, music plays through our Bose speakers, and live entertainment can be enjoyed outside until 6 pm. On cooler evenings, guests can wrap up warm in our wool blankets and toast marshmallows over the open fire. Or retreat to the outdoor bar area which is complete with its own fire pit, sound system, and chill-out seating area.
When bathed in the candy-coloured glow of a summer sunset, the outdoor terrace is the ideal spot to celebrate your first dance under the stars beneath rows of festoon lighting and is the location for your newlywed sparkler send-off.
