Shades on. Sangria at the ready. Let’s do this!
Tower Hill Barns is the place where rustic and contemporary scenes and first-class Welsh hospitality meet to deliver you a wedding experience like no other. Our countryside wedding venue boasts plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces, enriched with the luxury of modern comforts, for a wedding celebration that’s enjoyed mostly outside. As an exclusive-use venue, the entire space is available for you and your guests to enjoy.
Your outdoor wedding ceremony in the green, green, grass of home
Our outdoor wedding ceremonies are held under the Old Railway Bridge. The bridge is an idyllic setting, complete with a stunning wood-clad backing and an oak gazebo for your guests. Surrounded by trees, it’s secluded and intimate (except for the occasional moo if the cows are in the fields), and sheltered by the bridge and gazebo.
During the summer months, the area is full of colour. Wildflower meadows line the pathway that leads from the barn to the ceremony area, roses grow up the banks by the side of the bridge, and the gazebo is generously enhanced with pots and troughs full of colour and scent. Dress the space, or leave as is; either way, The Bridge offers a vibrant setting that easily flows from inside to outside to enjoy our scenic surroundings.
The Bridge, formally the old railway line between Ruabon and Barmouth, was closed in the 1960s. Lovingly restored, it’s now a unique ceremony space under which you can exchange your vows.
Outdoor civil ceremonies are licensed from April 1st to September 30th. Alternatively, celebrant-led weddings offer a year-round opportunity for amazing outdoor ceremonies without restrictions. The gazebo can seat approximately 100 guests comfortably with 10 benches on each side of the aisle. Extra chairs can be placed on the decking to accommodate an additional 50 guests.
Our outdoor ceremony area has room for a string quartet, harpist, guitarist or other live music options. Alternatively, connect your device to our Bose sound system.
Space to mingle: our spacious & social terrace
Our terrace is a large, social space that can be used throughout the day. From your guest’s arrival and post-ceremony drinks to canapés and on into the evening, where the space comes alive with beautiful lighting and glowing fire pits, it’s ideal for entertaining.
The terrace is filled with cosy outdoor furniture and is surrounded by our gardens and grounds, framed by the far-reaching North Wales hills and countryside.
Drinks are served from our central bar, with seating areas inside and out. Opt for a live band or play music through our Bose sound system – the terrace is a relaxed and fun, open-air setting which creates the perfect atmosphere for your outdoor wedding.
With enough space to accommodate your evening guests too, many couples choose to kick off the night do celebrations with the first dance outside on the terrace.
10 acres of gardens and grounds for outdoor fun & lawn games
For couples who love the outdoors, we’ve got you covered. Enjoy 10 exclusive-use acres to craft the outdoor wedding of a lifetime–lawn games and outdoor fun included! Far from the bustle of busy life, the gardens can be used for games and drinks on the lawn, an entertainment area for children and a quiet moment alone during the evening.
With cocktails in hand, popular favourites for your outdoor wedding reception include ice cream vans and photobooths, crazy golf, bouncy castles, giant Jenga, tug-of-war, and adult retro space hoppers. Have your furry friends join you for the afternoon fun, snap wedding photos mid-game, toss your bouquet, and embrace colour for epic smoke bomb wedding photo and drone footage. The afternoon golden hour is a magical time of day and that sunkissed glow is yours for the merry-making.

Wedding breakfast with a view
Bringing the outdoors in. Our gorgeous barn dining hall is the focal point of the property and the place where everything comes together. The Barn offers a blend of rustic character and contemporary charm to create a warm and inviting space.
Almost as if you were out amongst the trees, floor-to-ceiling windows in the oak-framed dining hall let you revel in the late-afternoon glow and take in the breathtaking views of our surrounding gardens and countryside. Bi-fold doors open out onto the terrace for an injection of fresh air and allow you to make the most of the indoor-outdoor entertainment space.
With an in-house wedding coordinator, menu tastings and seasonal produce at the ready, all bases are covered for a luxurious yet relaxed, countryside wedding experience with exquisite dining opportunities.
Our chefs tailor food menus to blend flawlessly with the ambience and season. For warmer weather and alfresco scenes, you can enjoy signature cheese & meat grazing platters for perfectly paired wine and cocktail hour, summer salads with grilled meats & BBQ options, fresh Angelsey sourced seafood, share plates and ‘bowl’ food for communal eating, and classics and crowd-pleasers like Welsh lamb and prosciutto-wrapped corn-fed chicken.
A golden sunset for your evening reception
As dusk draws in on the golden hour and the mood shifts up a notch to the evening part of your wedding celebration, one thing’s for sure–by nightfall, it’s going to be a banger of a party.
The converted barn takes centre stage after dark to offer you a unique place for your evening do dance party. Kitted out with a BOSE sound system, state-of-the-art controllable LED mood lighting and a haze machine, it’s the pulse of the party.
The dance floor is supported by the large bar area and the outdoor terrace (complete with an outdoor bar and firepits), to give you an alfresco setting that’s perfect for summer sunsets.
Although the evening party moves indoors once night has fallen, the terrace and outdoor bar is a great space to enjoy warm evenings. You can enjoy cosy seating areas and multiple fire pits (which are perfect for roasting marshmallows) in a layout that keeps everyone connected. Celebrate your first dance under the stars beneath a row of twinkly fairy lights, and see out your first day as newlyweds with a joyful sparkler send-off.
